Planting Design

Planting DesignSometimes a complete makeover or redesign is unnecessary, as well as being a costly solution to boot. In many gardens the hard landscaping, or skeleton, is perfectly fine; all that’s needed is a considered redesign of the planting.

Plants bring a garden or landscape to life, injecting much-needed colour, texture, form, and scent, but they’re also useful spatial design tools, too. Used cleverly plants can define or create space within a garden or landscape much like a wall or fence. Beautiful planting design doesn’t need to be high maintenance either.

Matt is experienced in designing and planting a huge range of sites, from tricky windswept roof terraces and sunless basements to traditional country courtyards and period gardens, in a broad range of styles, whilst carefully considering the location, size, and unique characteristics of each site.

We provide full planting plans, specifications, and instructions on how to keep a scheme looking good for years to come.

We also help turn plans into a reality with sourcing, procurement (from a wide range of respected and trusted nurseries), and the actual planting process itself, too.
