You may feel at this stage all you need is a bit of advice, especially if you are having problems with one particular area or you’ve just taken on a new garden and would value some professional opinion. We are more than happy to visit for a one-off consultation.

In advance of the visit clients are usually asked to conduct a brief survey of the site and collect together images illustrating early design ideas to ensure our time together is as fruitful as possible.

Together we will work through these ideas on the day making suggestions about materials and plants, including suppliers. Typically half a day is enough, however for larger projects a full day is necessary.

Consultancy fees are available on request.

We were delighted with the “contemporary cottage” garden Matt designed and built for us. He listened to what we wanted; a lawn as we have a dog, low maintenance and good space for sitting and eating. He gave us brilliant hard landscaping, planting hardy perennials for banks of colour (mauve in the sun, white in afternoon shade) and interest throughout the winter and we love the Z-shaped green oak wall he built along the side of a dry-gravel bed, just the height for sitting with a glass. We’ve had the garden for two years now and we look forward each year to Spring, bringing it back to life, and Summer for long lazy afternoons. We have his detailed planting plan to help us look after the plants when weather (wet or hot) takes its toll; it’s now OUR garden.
